What is the difference between Yoga and Meditation?

 In today’s environment, everyone wants to do yoga, for those people, yoga is only a trend, everybody wants to follow this tread but they think yoga is only doing difficult yoga pose cleanly for them yoga is body flexibility but they are totally wrong yoga is not only about performing some difficult asana with ease it is beyond this. Yoga is the combination and unification of body mind and soul. Some people who are beginners and the uninformed they think that Meditation and Yoga are similar but yoga and meditation are different things we will explain them in a better way in the below article.





Yoga is a tree and Meditation is its branch. In some sense, yoga and meditation are related.


Yoga is the combination of the mind-body and divine soul. Another hand meditation is the state in which your mind is in full conscious of the present moment. In yoga, you have some physical movements you have to practice some asana but in Meditation, you have to sit silently in one place by closing your eyes with full awareness in the present moment only close, and sitting in one place is not meditation it is about your awareness in the present moment how conscious you are., it is a higher state of consciousness. In meditation you have to concentrate on the present moment for that you can take the help of an object or you can also use sound or do mantra chanting these all are the method of increasing concentration and focus, these all practices will help in meditation because to focus or do concentration is not an easy task because in our mind there are lots of thoughts which are always running they are unstoppable, to overcome with those running thought we need concentration


If you think that your concentration is a very difficult task so you can do yoga because yoga blends the mental and physical training when we perform any asana for that we need to concentrate on how the trainer is performing and also need physical strength to perform that asana, you also concentrate every movement of your pose, when we will inhale and when you will exhale all depend on the concentration and focus, how much sincerely you are listing the master. so we can say that yoga will prepare you for Meditation Because it helps in maintaining concentration.

Yoga tells us how we live our lives and when we practice it we get all-around benefits. Meditation is the branch of yoga meditation that focuses on mental relaxation and concentration. Yoga is more related to physical exercise and breathing exercises on the other hand we can say that meditation is more involved with mental training. If a person practices Yoga in a regular way it will improve their flexibility and give them strength. When you practice yoga you will get more physical benefits but when you practice meditation you will get more mental benefits. Meditation is the state of our mind where we are attaining higher consciousness, which makes our mind calm and relaxed in any situation that might arise.
